Tahoe Green Fest: this weekend

Join us at Kings Beach, CA for the 2nd Annual Tahoe Green Fest.  Exhibits are open 9am to 5pm each day. The event is open & free to the public.

Here’s a sam­ple of what’s happening:

Fueled by Bently Biofuels

The elec­tric­ity used to power the fun and fes­tiv­i­ties will be carbon-neutral,generated on site by Bently Bio­fu­els using fuel pro­duced from locally recy­cled cook­ing oils.

Elec­tric Car Display Elec­tric Auto Asso­ci­a­tion of North­ern Nevada part­nered with SiGBA to help bring elec­tric cars to Tahoe. Elec­tric Cars and High effi­ciency vehi­cles own­ers from across North­ern Cal­i­for­nia and Nevada are invited to par­tic­i­pate in the event, and show off their “green ride.”

Tesla Motors Lux­ury Elec­tric Car 2009 green­FEST fea­tured Tesla road­ster redefin­ing people’s view of elec­tric cars, with 0‐60 accel­er­a­tion in 3.9seconds and a range exceed­ing 200 miles.

Silent Auc­tion In 2009, SiGBA raf­fled nearly a hun­dred prizes. The silent auc­tion was a hit as well. Exhibitors are asked to donate an item for our silent auc­tion or raffle

Music & Entertainment

Green­FEST is an edu­ca­tion in sus­tain­abil­ity with green exhibits from renew­able energy, inter­ac­tive activ­i­ties for chil­dren, and organic food ven­dors. There is also live music and beer and wine tasting.

Other attrac­tions include artists, a farm­ers mar­ket, Dr. Solar for chil­dren, and yoga and mas­sage by Gem Moun­tain Massage.
